Coverage begins with the Pats’ 38-21 win over the Titans in November 1960, and is followed up later that month with the comprehensive 42-14 victory over the Cowboys. Thereafter, the team’s biggest successes are all featured, thus creating a fantastic reportage history for any diehard Patriots’ fan.
Included in this New England Patriots History Book is plenty of coverage, not least during the 1970s and ‘80s, when the team progressed to the playoffs in ‘76 and became AFC East champions two years later. There’s also the Pats’ Super Bowl XX appearance in 1985, which ultimately ended with a 46-10 defeat to the Bears, while coverage of the 90s includes the 35-21 Super Bowl XXXI loss to the Packers in January ‘97.
And then, of course, there’s the hugely successful 2000s, in which record-breaking quarterback, Tom Brady, really comes to the fore. Divisional and Conference Championships throughout the period are covered in depth, along with the incredible three Super Bowl wins in four years, between 2001 and 2004.
As for the book itself, it measures in at an impressive 12.5 x 15 inches, bound in a burnt sienna cover. Made with an antique-style finish, the cover beautifully contrasts the book’s originally reported black and white content, for the ultimate New England Patriots memorabilia.
