Green Bay Packers Book - Gift Details

Relive the Packers’ most memorable moments with this Washington Post newspaper book, featuring reprints of reports written at the time.

Coverage begins with the Packers’ 21-6 win over the Redskins to secure the NFL Championship in December 1936. Fast forward three years, and 1939’s 27-0 demolition of the New York Giants secured the Packers their fifth Championship of 13 – a record that remains unbeaten to this day.

Thereafter, the team’s biggest successes are all featured, thus creating a fantastic reportage history for any diehard Packers’ fan. Included in this is plenty of coverage of the side’s three consecutive NFL Championships in 1965, ’66 and ’67. In ’65 the Packers, defeated the defending champions the Cleveland Browns 23-12, while in ’66 and ’67 quarterback MVP Bart Starr very much lived up to his name. He helping the team win Super Bowls I and II 35-10 and 33-14 over the Chiefs and the Raiders, respectively.

More recently, the book also features the two Super Bowl victories in 1996 and 2010, the latter of which was sealed with a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in front of over 103,000 fans. Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who completed three touchdown passes, went on to receive the MVP award.

As for the book itself, it measures in at an impressive 12.5 x 15”, with the choice of two striking editions – both gold-embossed for free. The first is our original burnt sienna cover, made with an antique-style coat; beautifully contrasting the book’s originally reported black and white content.

Not only does this leather book include the black and white re-mastered content, this edition features full-color pages from 2006 onwards, merging your team’s definitive history into a precious contemporary keepsake.
